My name is Rocio Segura and I am the photographer and manager at Rocio Segura Portraits. My goal is to capture the essence and personality of individuals through the art of photography. Rocio Segura Portraits is a creative family photography studio in Brooklyn where we make eye-catching portraits that tell a unique story about each of you.
My style is clean and very personal, my light is natural, and I will make you look fabulous because you are. Every detail is important to me.
I practice collaborative art direction: Where we work together to develop creative concepts that resonate with you, I create ‘previous to the shoot mood’ boards that will help you visualize it better. I will direct you through the process and help you with any questions you might have from the beginning to the end. I am in constant cooperation with each family in order to prepare accordingly with clothing selection, prop options…

With my distinctive use of natural mixed with flash lighting, and the use of layered colors and paper on the set. I bring a burst of color to the photoshoot. We will collaborate on the art direction, exploring creative concepts and experimenting with composition.
It’s my all-time favorite kind of photoshoot.
Baby photoshoots are truly heartwarming, capturing the adorable moments and precious expressions of your little one. The first few weeks of a baby’s life are incredibly special, and photographing them during this time helps us preserve the unique features and delicate details that will soon change. I use neutral color palettes and soft blankets, wraps, or simple props to enhance the timeless aesthetic that defines these sessions. These elements create an intimate setting, allowing the baby’s features to shine.
